Clare Balding Opens New RDA Facilities

Clare Balding Opens New RDA Facilities

This week I visited the excellent new facilities at the Riding for the Disabled Association in Cranleigh.  Casi’s Farm is set in a beautiful position at the end of Rowley Drive;the views were inspiring before I even set foot in the fantastic extended building. The lighter, brighter building will be opened by Clare Balding OBE on 1st October but the  volunteers and the users are already reaping the benefits of the enhanced equestrian and social facilities.

Horse riding offers a degree of independence that many disabled people do not have in their daily life. Over 200 adults and children from an extensive area around Cranleigh ride at Cranleigh RDA.

Cranleigh RDA has over 190 volunteers who assist with riding or running the charity, June and her team are truly inspiring.

You don’t have to have any equine experience to help as full training is given to all their volunteers.
